Implants have become a lot more available in recent years, though the technology has existed since the 1960s. Implants are now an excellent alternative to removable dentures, and can even be used in place of crowns and bridges, in many cases.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

First, an implant post (or posts) are placed in your jaw. If you or a loved one have been told in the past that you can't have implants because of inadequate bone structure to support the implant posts (which act as roots for your implants), it might be worth looking into. More widespread availability of bone grafting has increased the number of patients who can have them, so don’t give up hope.

After the posts are placed and healed, we'll create the perfect, custom restorations for a natural and comfortable smile.

Dr. Majka offers a number of implant types including mini-implants, which take up about half the space of full-sized implants, and implant-retained dentures which are permanent appliances that look like a traditional denture, but without the part that covers the roof of your mouth.
